Our Story

At Body Mind we believe that true wellbeing begins with harmony. A gentle balance between body, mind and the natural world around us. In our Amsterdam location, this vision comes to life through holistic treatments, mindful practices and calming wellness spaces designed to help you slow down, release tension and reconnect with yourself.

Our treatments support the body’s natural ability to heal, using soft techniques, warm attention and high quality natural products. Whether you experience a massage, facial or ritual treatment, each session is shaped to calm the mind, soften the body and allow energy to flow more freely. It is an invitation to let go, breathe deeper and return to your natural rhythm.

In addition to our treatments, our Mind Studio offers space for meditation, breathwork, sound healing and group practices. Here you can explore mental wellness in a warm and accessible way, guided with care and intention. For deeper rest, our Wellness Garden brings together heat, water, nature and stillness, creating a peaceful environment where body and mind can unwind completely.

Founder

Melisa

As the founder, I safeguard the vision, energy and quality of our studio. I guide the team and ensure that every client experiences the calm and healing that define Body Mind. My work focuses on helping the studio grow, supporting the team and creating new collaborations that align with our values.

Massage Therapist

Ylva

Ylva brings pure, calming energy to her treatments and creates a safe space where you can fully let go. Her massages focus on deep relaxation, helping the body and mind return to harmony. In her free time she enjoys creating art and expressing herself through dance.

Massage Therapist

Tonya

Originally from Ukraine, Tonya brings a wealth of international experience to her work. After several years in Australia, she specialised in deep tissue massage and various relaxation techniques. Tonya helps release tension and guides the body back into balance through her grounded and restorative touch.

Naomi

Naomi approaches her body and facial massages with warmth, intuition and genuine care. Her treatments offer a unique sense of relaxation and presence. She is part of our Tuesday team and contributes to our Retreats with her nurturing energy and skilled hands.

Jamilla

Jamilla is an all-round beauty specialist with expertise in facials and foot treatments. With her soft, attentive approach she creates a sense of calm, personal care and visible skin improvement. Her treatments blend professionalism with gentle, heartfelt attention.

Sara

Sara combines her love for nature with her work as a massage therapist. With many years of experience in massage and skincare treatments, including at Spa Zuiver, she brings calm, care and deep relaxation to every session. Her grounded presence supports restoration and wellbeing at Body Mind.

Partnership and Community Support

Sanne

Sanne helps build meaningful collaborations with local entrepreneurs and supports the growth of the Body Mind community. She connects, coordinates and ensures that Body Mind remains visible, strong and rooted both in Alkmaar and beyond.

Group Session Facilitator

Fernanda

Fernanda guides group sessions such as Cacao Ceremonies, Women’s Circles, Meditations and Sound Healings. With her gentle energy and Colombian roots, she creates a loving atmosphere where everyone can relax, feel safe and come home to themselves.

Social Media and Content Creator

Indy

Indy supports Body Mind with creative social media content through photography and video. She ensures that our online presence reflects the warmth, softness and vision of Body Mind. Her work helps translate the studio’s atmosphere into clear and beautiful digital storytelling.
